Easter

It’s Good Friday and I am thankful for the gift God has given me through His son Jesus Christ. Yes things are different this year, we will not be able to go to church service in person this Easter, we will not be able to gather with as much of our family as usual. Corona-virus 19 has changed our lives. If you agree with the recommended regulations really doesn’t matter at this point. Some of them I agree with and some I don’t. What it has done is make me think about the freedoms we have here in America and how often we take them for granted. Being able to go to church every Sunday is something I really do miss. I miss my Sunday school class, my D-group, and worshiping corporately with my fellow believers. I know we are the church not some building but the coming together with fellow believers is important. We have been having services online and our staff has been doing a fantastic job.

I look forward to sharing my faith with our new daughter. Teaching her why we need Christ. Why He had to die and what it means to trust Him for our salvation. Of course none of us are guaranteed that our kids will trust Christ as we do. All we can do is live it out in front of them. Point to the instants that show our trust and need for Him. We have to trust Him, pray for our kids and know He loves them way more than we do. We have been blessed with two kids that have trusted Christ and we know God has led us to adopt this child for a reason. We look forward to what He has in store.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.” Proverbs 3: 5-6

Happy Easter !
